Vectors - These vectors neither replicate nor produce virions, but simply integrate the DNA segments into the cellular DNA. These transformed cells replicate the new DNA as an integral part of their own genomes.
These plasmids are also shuttle vectors and include selective markers like herpesvirus, thymidine kinase or neo genes. Apart from the selective markers, they include transcriptional regulator signals and polyadenylation sites
