Productivity and/or the process ability traits. Several new terminator type patents also involve regulation of a wide range of secondary traits, so that the application of a chemical would be required to improve either the productivity or the processability of the end product.

Sometimes, it may involve deactivation of negative traitor-traits, so that the farmer will be encouraged to use such spraying, sometimes for his own benefit, but leading to an extra profit to the company.

If the technology is used for deactivation of a native negative gene, one would welcome it, but introduction of negative gene (other than terminator gene) that would need deactivation for commercial interests only, should not be allowed, through international law,

and the patents for such negative transgenes or for the transgenic crops carrying these so called junkie transgenes should be rejected on moral grounds.
