Northern Blotting Techniques - It is same as Southern blotting but with minor differences. In this method, instead of DNA, RNA is transferred onto the membrane from the gel. The other difference is the absence of the depurination step (i.e., 0.25 M HCI treatment), as RNA itself is small enough to be transferred easily.
