Dominance Gene Interaction - Dominance is the interaction between alleles, and the dominant allele is usually the one that produces a functional product while recessive allele does not. For example if the phenotype of allele A is dominant, AA and Aa individuals are alike phenotypically.

In the heterozygous condition (Aa), allele "a" is completely masked and the trait is recessive.

Phenotypes attributable to single allele substitutions are called dominants and the phenomenon is called as dominance. Several different patterns of dominance are also documented.
