The

in

area
is
the
prospect
of
developing
antimalarial
vaccine
in
the
near
future.
Monoclonal
antibodies
that
inhibit
the
in
vitro
multiplication
of
Plasmodium,
and
the
antigametocyte
antibodies
that
inactivate
male
gametes
have
been
developed.
Monoclonal
antibodies
that
destroy
merozoite
infected
red
blood
cells
have
also
been
developed
now.
Such
antibodies
may
prove
useful
as
vaccines
