Segment - Once a gene or a DNA fragment has been cloned, its further study involves DNA sequencing. The technique of DNA sequencing was very laborious, rill 1975, when a breakthrough was made in DNA sequencing methods.
Two different methods are now routinely used for determination of DNA sequences.
