RFPDs for Gene Tagging - Earlier we discussed the use of RFLPs for selection of markers linked to monogenic and polygenic traits, so that these may be used for indirect selection in segregating populations during plant breeding programmes. RAPDs can be used for the same purpose with lesser effort. Following are some PCR approaches already utilized for gene tagging.
