Large Scale Cultures - Commercial applications of tissue culture necessitate scaling up of culture systems; this can be achieved by

(i) increasing the number or

(ii) size of culture vessels, or

(iii) a combination of both.

The strategy of scaling up depends chiefly on the physical condition of medium, i.e., agar or liquid, used for the cultures.
