Culture Room - The culture room should have the following facilities:
(i) controlled temperature (usually at 25° +- 2°C with the help of air conditioners and room heaters; higher or lower temperatures may be desirable in some cases),
(ii) culture racks fitted with light (generally, 1000 lux or lower light generated by fluorescent tubes; automatic timers can be used to regulate photoperiod), and
(iii) a shaker for agitation of suspension cultures. It is desirable to have a generator set for providing power to the culture room in the event of electricity cuts/failures, which may often ruin the experiments.
