Double Coverslip with Plasma Clot - This technique was developed by Maximov and resembles the single coverslip method described above. It includes the following steps

: (i) a small drop of BSS is placed on a large coverslip (40mm);

ii) a square or round coverslip (22mm) is placed over BSS in the centre of large coverslip.

These two steps are then followed by the steps listed above for single coverslip method. A large depression slide is used and the entire preparation is attached to it by petroleum jelly and wax in such a way that the small coverslip is not in contact with the slide at any point.
