Inheritance of Transgenes -

Stably integrated trans genes are inherited in Medelian fashion, and usually show dominance. But in subsequent generations, some instability may occur probably due to methylation or rearrangements of the T-DNA region. In addition, homologous recombination between copies of the transgene inserted in the same nucleus can also lead to instability of the gene.
